Kelso takes on Prairie in Battle Ground tonight in Prep football, FM 101.5 The Wave. Also, Hudson’s Bay is at Mark Morris (FM 105.5 KUKN) and R.A. Long is at Ridgefield tonight…..LCC is hosting the 8-team NWAC Crossover Volleyball Tournament today (1 pm) and all day tomorrow…..In prep volleyball last night, Kelso swept Hudson’s Bay 3-0 and Woodland defeated R.A. Long 3-0…..In girls soccer last night, Olivia Bollinger had three goals to lead MM over Hudson’s Nay 8-2 and Sadie Allen also had three goals to lead RAL over Woodland 6-2…..The LCC soccer team will play Highline at the Starfire Complex in Tukwila tomorrow at 12 pm…..Jamal Crawford hit a shot with under a second left to give the Clippers a 109-108 NBA Pre-season win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Lower Columbia College volleyball team swept South Puget Sound 3-0 last night to stay in first place in the West Division at 6-1…..In prep volleyball tonight, Kelso is at Hudson’s Bay and R.A. Long is at home against Woodland…..Tacoma scored three second half goals to complete a 4-0 win over the LCC soccer team yesterday…..In girls soccer today, Hudson’s Bay is at MM (4:30 pm) and RAL hosts Woodland (6 pm)…..The Trail Blazers are in Los Angeles for an NBA Pre-Season game with the Clippers tonight at 7:30 pm…..The Atlanta Falcons are practicing at the University of Washington this week in preparation for their game with the Seahawks on Sunday…..The Dodgers are at the Nationals tonight in the decisive game 5 of the NLDS, KLOG 4:30 pm.

Damian Lillard scored 30 points in three quarters as the Trail Blazers beat the Lakers 109-106 in overtime last night. Portland is now 3-0 in the pre-season…..Damon Temanson and Brycen Guttormsen advanced to Bi-District after finishing 4th and 9th respectively at the 3A District golf tournament at Tri-Mountain. Troy Parrish of R.A. Long was the co-medalist with a round of 73 at the 2A District at Mint Valley….Kelso’s Tanner Graf and Kahler Kirk both came in first to lead the Scots to cross country victories at Hudson’s Bay…..Kelso defeated Mountain View 3-2 in prep volleyball last night. Also, Hockinson rallied to beat Mark Morris 3-2 and Ridgefield swept RAL 3-0…..The LCC volleyball team host South Puget Sound tonight at 7 pm…..The LCC soccer team hosts Tacoma today at 4 pm.

The Huskies remain at #5 in the AP College Football Poll after dismantling the Oregon Ducks last weekend. Washington has a bye this weekend. The start time for the October 22nd game with Oregon State in Seattle has been set at 3:30 pm…..Six Kelso Hilanders advanced to the final round of the 3A boys golf District 3A tournament at Tri-Mountain. The final round is today…..Kelso pounded Fort Vancouver 10-0 in prep soccer last night. Today, MM hosts Hockinson at 4:30 pm and R.A. Long is at Ridgefield at 7 pm…..In volleyball tonight, Kelso is at Mt. View, Hockinson at Mark Morris and RAL at Ridgefield…..R.A. Long hosts Mark Morris in Civil War boys tennis this afternoon…..The Kelso cross country teams are at Hudson’s Bay today.

The Seahawks had the weekend off but they will host a team that has defeated last year’s Super Bowl teams back-to-back. Atlanta downed the Broncos yesterday after a win over the Panthers…..The Huskies have the bye week after dismantling the Ducks 70-21. Jake Browning is now in the Heisman mix after throwing for six TD’s and running for two more. The Cougars spanked Stanford 42-16 and will host UCLA Saturday…..In girls soccer tonight, Kelso is at Fort Vancouver at 7 pm…..Several local runners finished the 45th Portland Marathon yesterday. The list includes Ed Laulainen Junior of Kelso and Amy Heim, Mark & Margit Brumbaugh, Darin Shook, Doug Jessen, Tom & Tedd Huhta, Duane Higby and Marci Taylor, all of Longview.

Long, all at 7 pm…..The first place LCC volleyball team is at home tonight against Centralia at 7 pm…..In prep volleyball last night, Prairie defeated Kelso 3-0 and Woodland downed Mark Morris 3-1. Tomorrow is the Lumberjill Invite all day at R.A. Long…..Prairie beat Kelso 3-1 in girls soccer last night. Also, Woodland edged MM 2-1 and RAL blasted Fort Vancouver 9-0…..The LCC soccer team hosts Green River tomorrow at 12 pm…..The Kelso Invitational girls swim meet is at Gaither Pool tomorrow…..The Trail Blazers host the Phoenix Suns in NBA Pre-Season action tonight at the Moda Center.

The Giants shutout the Mets 3-0 behind the complete game of Madison Bumgarner and the 9th inning three run homer by Conor Gillaspie. Giants play the Dodger next. Today, the Rangers host the Blue Jays followed by the Indians versus the Red Sox, both on KLOG beginning at 1 pm…..The LCC volleyball team came up with a quality road win at Highline 3-0 last night. Both teams are tied for first in the West at 4-1…..In prep volleyball tonight, Kelso hosts Prairie and Mark Morris is at Woodland…..Centralia scored a goal in stoppage time to beat LCC 2-1 yesterday…..In prep girls soccer tonight, Prairie is at Kelso and Mark Morris at Woodland, both at 7 pm. The R.A. Long soccer team hosts Fort Vancouver at 6 pm.

The Blue Jays get an 11th inning walk-off homer from Edwin Encarnacion for a 5-2 win over the Orioles in the AL Wild Card game. The NL Wild Card game tonight features the Giants at the Mets, KLOG 4:30 pm…..R.A. Long took two of three Civil War matchups yesterday. Maddie Wolff scored two goals to lead the Jill’s soccer team to a 3-0 shutout of Mark Morris. Also, Kelso beat Evergreen 2-1 on two Makayla Roggow goals…..The RAL boys golf team beat MM 163-191 as Zach Kochis and Troy Parrish led the Jacks with 38’s…..MM avoided the Civil War sweep with a 3-2 volleyball victory over RAL. Also, Kelso swept past Fort Vancouver 3-0…..The LCC volleyball team has a big showdown at Highline tonight at 7 pm…..The LCC soccer team host Centralia in a 4 pm match at Northlake Field.

Alan Crabbe had 15 to lead the way…..In Civil War boys tennis yesterday, R.A. Long swept the singles in a 4-2 victory over Mark Morris…..Civil War girls soccer is tonight as RAL hosts MM in a 6 pm match at Longview Memorial. Kelso is at home against Evergreen tonight at 7 pm…..The Civil War volleyball match tonight is at Joe Moses Court as the Jills host the Monarchs at 7 pm. Long at Woodland…..The LCC volleyball team hosts Tacoma tonight at 7 pm…..In prep volleyball, Kelso swept Evergreen 3-0, Washougal blanked MM 3-0 and Columbia River beat RAL 3-0…..In girls soccer, Mt. View got by Kelso 1-0, Washougal used a PK shootout to beat MM 1-0 and River downed RAL 4-1…..Russell Wilson says he’s good to go for the Seahawks Sunday at the Jets.
