Arizona eliminated Gonzaga 84-61 in the NCAA men’s tournament last night…..The Miami Heat host the Portland Trail Blazers later today, KLOG 3:35 pm…..Stefan Romero hit a walk-off three-run homer in the Mariners 6-4 win over the Oakland A’s yesterday. The M’s play the White Sox today…..The Kelso baseball team hosts Fort Vancouver in a 4 pm game today…..Edmonds took three of four game with LCC this weekend. Yesterday the Devils won 5-3, then crumbled in the final inning of the nightcap with a 9-5 loss…..The LCC softball team took all four games at the NWAACC Inter-Regional event in Portland. Yesterday the Devils beat Olympic 7-4 and Everett 9-1…..Kelso had a good day the Rotary Relays Saturday. The Hilanders had eight wins while the Lassies collected five victories.

The NCAA tournament had three upsets and four overtimes yesterday. The Oregon Ducks took care of business with an 87-68 win over BYU. Gonzaga takes on Oklahoma State this afternoon…..The Blazers beat the Wizards 116-103 last night…..In prep baseball, Woodland beat R.A. Long 12-3. The Jacks host Union today and Mark Morris is at Mt. View…..In prep softball, Skyview downed Kelso 8-5. The Lassies host RAL tonight at 6 pm and Evergreen is at MM at 4 pm…..The LCC softball team hosts Highline in a 1 pm DH today…..The LCC baseball team hosts Edmonds for 12 pm DH’s Saturday and Sunday…..The M’s beat the Cubs 3-0. Seattle plays the Padres tonight, KLOG 6:55 pm…..The 37th Rotary Relays gets underway at 10:30 am Saturday at Longview Memorial Stadium.

The NCAA tournament is well underway. The Oregon Ducks take on BYU just after noon in Milwaukee…..The Oregon State men’s team was ousted by Radford 96-92 in the first round of the CBI tourney…..The WSU women’s team lost to Montana 90-78 in the WNIT…..The Blazers host the Wizards tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm…..The Brewers beat the Mariners 9-7 yesterday. Seattle plays the Cubs in Mesa today…..R.A. Long hosts Woodland in prep baseball at 4 pm. Kalama and Castle Rock will complete a suspended game at LCC’s Story Field today at 6 pm. The Chinooks will then take on Fort after, also at LCC…..In softball, Kelso hosts Skyview at 4 pm and Mark Morris is at Castle Rock at 3:30 pm…..In soccer, Kelso beat Washougal 4-2 and Skyview over MM 4-0.

The Blazers needed overtime to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 120-115. Wes Matthews had 26 points including a big three pointer in the OT. Portland hosts Washington tomorrow night…..WSU is looking for a new men’s basketball coach after Ken Bone was let go after five seasons…..The Kelso softball team defeated Mark Morris 19-1 yesterday. Also, Heritage downed R.A. Long 3-1…..In baseball, Castle Rock beat Kalama 10-0. The second game of the DH was suspended due to darkness, tied at three. They will meet again at Castle Rock today and finish it up. Also, Hudson’s Bay is at Mark Morris today at 4 pm…..RAL beat Fort 5-1 in girls tennis. Kelso is at Evergreen today…..In boys soccer, Skyview visits MM at 5 pm and Washougal is at Kelso at 4 pm.

Makaio Mobbs hit a two-out, two run single in the 9th to tie it, then an Everett error allowed the LCC baseball team to win 4-3 last night. The Devils earlier won 1-0, sweeping the defending NWAACC champion Trojans last night…..In prep baseball, Heritage downed Mark Morris 9-7. Today, Kalama hosts Castle Rock…..The R.A. Long softball team beat Kalama 8-5 yesterday. The Jills host Heritage today. Also, Kelso is at Mark Morris…..In boys soccer, Heritage beat RAL 2-1 and Tumwater defeated Mark Morris 3-2…..The Trail Blazers are at home tonight against Milwaukee, KLOG 6:05 pm…..In girls golf today, Kelso hosts Union at Three Rivers…..The Kelso track teams host a jamboree event at Joe Stewart Track today at 3:30 pm.

Gonzaga is the lone team from Washington to make the NCAA tournament. The Zags are the #8 seed in the West and will play Oklahoma State Friday in San Diego. The Oregon Ducks are the #7 seed in the West and will play BYU Thursday in Milwaukee…..The Blazers blew an 18 point lead and lost to Golden State 113-112 last night. Portland has lost five of six games. They host the Bucks tomorrow night…..The Mariners beat the Angels 5-3 in spring training action yesterday. The M’s are off today…..After sweeping Skagit Saturday and then getting rained out yesterday, the LCC baseball team has added a DH tonight at home against Everett. The action begins at 5 pm at Story Field…..The Seahawks reportedly have agreed to a three-year, $9.1 million deal with kicker Steven Hauschka.

The Blazers try and snap a four game losing streak when they take on the Pelicans in New Orleans tonight, KLOG 4:05 pm. LaMarcus Aldridge will miss at least two games with a back contusion…..UCLA eliminated Oregon 82-63 at the Pac-12 basketball tournament…..Two more hits for Robinson Cano as the Mariners beat the Diamondbacks 6-3 yesterday. The M’s take on the Rockies tonight…..The LCC baseball team hosts Skagit Valley in a 1 pm double header Saturday, klog.com. The Devils also host the Linfield JV’s for two Sunday at 12 pm…..Castle Rock is hosting a baseball jamboree and food drive at 10 am Saturday…..The RAL Bullpen Club Auction & Dinner is Saturday at 6 pm at Monticello MS…..Kelso hosts a six team softball jamboree Saturday at 11 am at Tam ’O Shanter Park and Lassie Beach.

Golden Tate is leaving the Seahawks, signing a free-agent deal with the Detroit Lions…..The Blazers have lost four straight after a 103-90 loss at San Antonio. LaMarcus Aldridge left the game with a back injury, but the team is hopeful it won’t be a long term situation…..Utah beat Washington 67-61 at the Pac-12 men’s basketball tournament, knocking the Huskies out. WSU is also done after a 74-63 loss to Stanford. Oregon advanced to play UCLA today after beating Oregon State 88-74…..The Mariners scored three runs in the 9th and one in the 10th to rally for an 8-7 win over the Cubs. Robinson Cano hit two doubles and is now hitting .632 this spring. The M’s take on the Diamondbacks today. The game will be broadcast on KLOG at 6:55 pm.

The Blazers will try and snap a three game losing streak when they play in San Antonio tonight, KLOG 5:35 pm. Memphis beat Portland 109-99 last night…..Gonzaga is NCAA tourney bound after taking the WCC title with a 75-64 win over BYU last night…..the Pac-12 tourney begins today with the Huskies against Utah, KLOG 11:30 am. OSU and Oregon play at 6 pm and WSU goes up against Stanford at 8:30 pm…..Breanna Dubois was MVP leading the Red team over the White team in the Lower Columbia Area Senior All Star Game last night. Eli Bannister was MVP as his Red team beat the White squad in the boys game…..The M’s beat the Angels 10-6 yesterday…..George Fox beat LCC 6-5 in 16 innings. The Devils bounced back with a 5-4 win in the 10 inning nightcap.

Michael Bennett has decided to stay with the Seahawks, signing a four-year, $28.5 million free agent deal…..Gonzaga advanced to the WCC tourney championship game with a 70-54 win over St. Mary’s last night…..The Blazers take on the Grizzlies in Memphis tonight, KLOG 4:05 pm…..The 15th Lower Columbia Area Senior All-Star basketball games are tonight at Mark Morris. Hosted by LCC, the girls game is at 6 pm and the boys game at 7:45 pm…..The Mariners lost to the Royals 8-2 and then tied with the Diamondbacks 3-3 yesterday. Today the M’s play the Angels in Tempe…..The LCC baseball team takes a six game winning streak into a home double header this afternoon at Story Field. LCC plays the George Fox JV’s beginning at 3 pm this afternoon.
