The Mariners return to action tonight hosting the Texas Rangers, KLOG 6:00 pm. The M’s will induct Jamie Moyer into the teams Hall of Fame prior to tomorrow night’s game…..Bellingham defeated Cowlitz 11-8 in the Black Bears final home game of the season. LCC’s Lorin Archibald drove in his 31st run of the season, a new Black Bear record. The Bears close out the season with three games at Kitsap…..Gonzaga and Washington were set to renew the men’s basketball rivalry in the 2016-2017 season, but the series will resume quicker than expected. The Battle 4 Atlantis tournament announced this morning that the Huskies and Zags will play in the first round Wednesday November 25th in the Bahamas. The Zags and Dawgs have not played since December of 2006.

The Rockies get an 11th inning walk-off, two-run homer from Michael McKenry to beat the Mariners 7-5 yesterday. Fernando Rodney blew the save in the 9th. Franklin Gutierrez hit a two-run homer. Nelson Cruz had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 16 games, but failed to homer in a sixth straight game. The M’s are off today…..Bellingham beat Cowlitz 6-3 in West Coast League action. The Black Bears final home game is tonight, a 6:35 pm start time at Story Field…..Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor remains a holdout at training camp. Earl Thomas was activated from the physically unable to perform list as he comes back from injury…..The 68th Ladies Lower Columbia golf tournament is underway, a two-day event at the Longview Country Club.

Nelson Cruz hit a homer for the fifth straight game leading the Mariners over the Rockies 10-4 last night. Cruz extended his hitting streak to 15 games. The M’s and Rockies play a day game today, KLOG 11:00 am…..Chris Castellanos pitched seven solid innings leading the Cowlitz Black Bears to a 3-1 victory over the Bellingham Bells. Just two more home games for the Bears including tonight against Bellingham at 6:35 pm…..The Portland Thorns host the Boston Breakers in women’s pro soccer tonight at Providence Park…..Scappoose native Will Olson, 40, died in what Enduro World Series mountain bike organizers called a freak accident last weekend in Crested Butte, Colorado. Olson, who moved from Scappoose 19 years ago, crashed near the finish line last Saturday.

The M’s and Rockies play again tonight, KLOG 4:30 pm…..The Cowlitz Black Bears open the final home series of the season tonight as the Bellingham Bells come to Longview for three games. The game at Story Field begins at 6:35 pm…..Kam Chancellor continues his holdout as he missed Seahawks practice yesterday. The safety is looking to get more money on a restructured contract. The Hawks continue training camp today…..It’s long been a popular way for local kids to get introduced to golf. The Mint Valley Junior City tournament begins today and runs four days. The Mariners beat the Twins 4-1 in 11 innings on Sunday. Seattle is in Denver to play the Rockies tonight, KLOG 4:30 pm. Felix Hernandez will pitch for the M’s…..Glacier Montana defeated Longview 10-6 in the semi-final of the Babe Ruth 15 Regional in The Dalles. Glacier went on to win the tournament and will play in the World Series in Tennessee…..Yakima Valley shutout Cowlitz 2-0 in West Coast League action on Sunday. The Bears only hit was a double by LCC’s Lorin Archibald. The Bears have a day off before hosting Bellingham tomorrow night…..The Seahawks added depth to the secondary by acquiring cornerback Mohammed Seisay from the Lions for a 2016 draft pick. The Hawks also released starting DT Tony McDaniel in a salary cap move.

Russell Wilson has signed a 4-year, $87.6 million contract with the Seahawks, just hours before the first practice session today. Wilson’s deal includes $60 million guaranteed…..The Twins beat the Mariners 9-5 yesterday. Kelso’s Trevor May pitched a scoreless 8th inning for the Twins. The teams play again today, KLOG 4:00 pm…..Victoria beat Cowlitz 8-3 yesterday. The Black Bears are home tonight against Yakima Valley, 6:05 pm. Cort Carpenter will play a post game concert at Story Field…..The Longview 15’s pounded Union County 18-7 at the Regionals in The Dalles. Longview has today off before playing two games on Saturday…..The 14th Cowlitz Kickoff Classic soccer tournament begins today and through the weekend at 7th Avenue Park.

The teams play a 1:00 pm game today…..FM Sports defeated Rightline Equipment 10-0 at the State Junior Legion tournament, ending Rightline’s season…..Zach Brown tossed a one-hitter and had two hits in Longview’s 11-0 win over Columbia Basin at the Babe Ruth 15 Regional in the The Dalles. Longview plays Union County at 2:00 pm today…..The Kelso 14’s lost to West Linn 13-5, ending their season at the Regional in Lewiston, Idaho…..The Seahawks report to camp today. The first practice is tomorrow.

Arizona defeated Seattle 8-4 last night. The Diamondbacks go for the sweep in a day game today, KLOG 11:30 am. Felix Hernandez pitches for the Mariners…..Victoria beat Cowlitz 15-4 last night, the Black Bears 6th straight WCL loss. The Bears and Harbourcats play again tonight in B.C…..Rightline Equipment shutout Walla Walla 3-0 to stay alive at the State Junior Legion tournament in Olympia. Cody Anderson pitched a four hitter. Rightline plays FM Sports at 3 pm today at Capital HS…..Play is underway at the Babe Ruth 15 Regional in The Dalles. Longview is playing Columbia Basin at 11:30 am. Meanwhile, the Kelso 14’s are 0-3 at the Babe Ruth 14 Regional in Lewiston Idaho. Kelso completes pool play with a game today against North Oregon.

Seattle native Jake Lamb hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th inning to give the Arizona Diamondbacks a 4-3 win over the Mariners. The teams play again tonight, KLOG 6:00 pm…..The Cowlitz Black Bears snapped a five game losing streak with a 6-3 non-league win over the NWCL All-Stars. The Bears begin a three game set at Victoria tonight…..Rightline Equipment defeated Hilander Dental 10-0 at the State Junior Legion tournament in Olympia. Rightline plays again at 6 pm tonight at Capital HS. Hilander’s season ends with over 30 wins this summer…..The Kelso Babe Ruth 14’s are 0-3 in pool play after a 13-7 loss to Lewiston at the Regional tournament last night. Kelso has an off day today…..The Longview 15’s begin play at Regionals tomorrow morning in The Dalles.
