The Mariners season ended with a win, but the team fell just a game short of the playoffs. Felix Hernandez got the win in a 4-1 victory over the Angels, but Oakland took the Wild Card with a 4-0 win over Texas. With five shutout innings, Hernandez won the ERA crown in the AL…..The Seahawks had yesterday off. The Hawks have a week to prepare for Washington for a Monday Night Football matchup. The 49’ers got a key victory yesterday, defeating Philadelphia 27-21…..In boys soccer today, weather permitting, R.A. Long is at Washougal and Mark Morris visits Hudson’s Bay…..Vancouver’s Greg Biflle was eliminated from the NASCAR Chase for the Spring Cup championship yesterday. 12 drivers are left after Jeff Gordon’s win at Dover yesterday.

The Mariners are trying to stay alive as they beat the Blue Jays 7-5 yesterday. The M’s are two games behind Oakland with three games to play including tonight at home against the Angels, KLOG 6:00 pm…..High School football week #4 is tonight as Kelso is at Centralia (FM 101.5 The Wave), Mark Morris at Hockinson (FM 105.5 KUKN) and Washougal at R.A. Long…..The Huskies open Pac-12 play tomorrow hosting Stanford, KLOG 12:00 pm. WSU is at Utah and OSU visits USC…..The Seahawks have the bye this weekend…..The LCC volleyball team hosts Pierce in a 7 pm match tonight at MM…..Ridgefield rallied from down 0-2 to beat Mark Morris 3-2 in prep volleyball. RAL took care of Bay 3-0…..In girls soccer, RAL beat Bay 1-0 and Ridgefield scored late to beat MM 1-0.

Mark Buerhle and the Blue Jays shut out Tajuan Walker and the Mariners 1-0 last night. The M’s have lost five straight as they play their final road game of the season today in Toronto, KLOG 12:00 pm…..Kelso’s Trevor May will have his final start of the season for the Twins tonight against the Tigers…..The injury depleted LCC women’s soccer team lost 12-0 at Peninsula yesterday…..The LCC volleyball team was also without some injured players as they lost at Green River 3-0 last night…..In prep volleyball tonight, Hudson’s Bay visits R.A. Long and Mark Morris hosts Ridgefield…..In girls prep soccer, Ridgefield and MM play in a 5 pm match at Northlake Field and RAL takes on Bay in a 6 pm game at Longview Memorial…..Pac-12 football tonight, UCLA at Arizona State, KLOG 6:00 pm.

Felix Hernandez gave up eight runs in his worst outing of the season. The M’s are three games out with just five to play including tonight at Toronto, KLOG 3:00 pm…..Woodland beat R.A. Long in prep volleyball last night. Also, Mark Morris outlasted Hockinson 3-2 and Kalama swept Castle Rock 3-0…..The LCC volleyball team opens league play tonight at Green River…..The LCC soccer team plays a 2 pm match at Peninsula today…..In prep girls soccer, Kelso stayed unbeaten with a 2-1 win over Tumwater. Woodland beat RAL 8-1…..In boys golf, Kelso, MM and Woodland are playing in the rain at the Prairie Invite at The Cedars course.

The Mariners playoffs hopes are slipping away. The Toronto Blue Jays pounded the M’s 14-4 yesterday as James Paxton suffered his worst career start. The M’s are two games out of the playoffs with six games left including today at Toronto, KLOG 3:00 pm. Felix Hernandez will pitch for Seattle against former Mariner R.A. Dickey…..The Mark Morris boys tennis team blanked Centralia 5-0 yesterday. Centralia hosts the R.A. Long today…..In boys golf, MM defeated Centralia 165-168 and Prairie downed Kelso 171-179…..The Longview schools travel in volleyball tonight as RAL is at Woodland and MM is at Hockinson. Also, Kalama is at Castle Rock…..In girls soccer, Mark Morris is at Hockinson at 7 pm while R.A. Long visits Woodland at 5 pm.

The Seahawks went on a game winning OT touchdown drive to beat the Denver Broncos 26-20 yesterday. Peyton Manning led the Broncos on a last minute TD drive and two pointer to tie the game, but he didn’t get a chance in the OT…..The Mariners lost at Houston 8-3 yesterday, dropping two of three over the weekend. The M’s are now 1 1/2 games out of the final Wild Card. They play four games at Toronto starting today, KLOG 3:00 pm. Seattle will host the L.A. Angels to close the regular season next weekend…..The start time for Saturday’s Stanford at Washington college football game has been set at 1:15 pm…..The Mark Morris golf team hosts Centralia in a 3:30 pm match at the Longview Country Club…..In JV football tonight, MM is at RAL at 6 pm and Kelso visits Prairie at 6:30 pm.

Kelso hosts Prairie in the home opener (FM 101.5 The Wave)…..Logan Morrison hit a three run homer in the 9th inning to give the Mariners a 3-1 win over the Angels. The M’s are one game behind Oakland and KC in the Wild Card race. Seattle is at Houston tonight, KLOG 3:00 pm…..The Huskies host Georgia State in college football tomorrow, 2:00 pm FM 101.5 The Wave. Also, the Oregon Ducks visit WSU and San Diego State is at OSU…..The Seahawks and Broncos meet in a big Super Bowl rematch Sunday in Seattle…..In volleyball last night, MM blanked Hudson’s Bay 3-0 and Ridgefield beat R.A. Long 3-1…..In girls soccer, MM over Bay 4-1, Kelso beat Hockinson 3-1 and Ridgefield over RAL 8-0.

The Los Angeles Angels exploded for five runs in the 7th inning to beat the Mariners 5-0 last night. The Halos clinch the AL West crown with the win, while the M’s fall two back of the Wild Card. The teams play again tonight, KLOG 6:00 pm…..Green River scored a goal in the 83rd minute to down the LCC soccer team 1-0 yesterday…..In prep soccer today, Hockinson is at Kelso and Ridgefield plays R.A. Long at Monticello MS…..The Kelso boys golf team beat Washougal 172-202 yesterday. The Scots are back at it today against Bay at Heron Lakes…..Tonight’s volleyball schedule includes Ridgefield at R.A. Long and Mark Morris at Hudson’s Bay…..RAL runs against Ridgefield and Washougal in a 4 pm cross country meet at Lake Sacajawea.

The Mariners offense exploded in a 13-2 win over the L.A. Angels last night. Seattle picks up a game in the race for the Wild Card. The M’s and Halos play again tonight, KLOG 6:00 pm…..In prep volleyball, Kelso rallied to beat Mark Morris 3-2. Also, R.A. Long defeated Washougal 3-0…..The LCC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to Clackamas…..The LCC soccer teams plays a game at Green River this afternoon…..In prep soccer, MM shutout Prairie 2-0 and Washougal beat RAL 3-1…..Kelso won a tiebreaker after they tied with MM at 169 in boys golf. RAL defeated Battle Ground 178-183. Kelso hosts Washougal today…..Pre-Sale tickets for Friday’s Civil War football game will be from 10 am to 2 pm Thursday and Friday in the lobby at Mark Morris HS.
