The M’s and Pads meet again tonight in San Diego, KLOG 6:00 pm…..The Cowlitz Black Bears have won four straight after a 3-1 victory over Corvallis last night. The Bears and Knights meet again tonight in a 6:35 pm start at Story Field…..Pacific Tech and Centralia split a Senior Legion DH last night, the Lizards winning 3-1 and Pac Tech winning 8-2. They meet again tonight at Rister Stadium in Kelso at 6 pm…..In Senior Babe Ruth today at Mark Morris, JH Kelly hosts Rightline Equipment at 5:30 pm…..Marshawn Lynch did show up at Seahawks mini-camp yesterday, although he is sitting out activity due to a sore ankle.

The Corvallis Knights come to Story Field tonight for $2 Tuesday at 6:35 pm…..The Pacific Tech Legion team travels north for a 6 pm game with Sobe/Toyota at Centralia’s Wheeler Field…..Rightline Equipment hosts RBI of Castle Rock in 5:30 Senior Babe Ruth action at the RAL Lumberyard today…..The Shamrock Tavern team fired a 60 to win the gross division of the Kelso-Longview Chamber Golf Classic. The Key Bank team won the net division with a 52.

The Mariners host the Padres tonight (KLOG 6:00 pm) and San Diego, and all of baseball, is mourning the death of Tony Gwynn, who passed away from cancer today at the age of 54. The Mariners beat Texas 5-1 yesterday to snap a five game losing streak…..The Cowlitz Black Bears beat the Kelowna Falcons 11-1 last night. Cowlitz is home to play the Portland Dukes tonight at 6:35 pm…..Pacific Tech swept a Senior Legion double header over Rainier WA 7-1 and 11-4. Riley Johnston had four hits and six RBI’s in the twinbill…..Aberdeen beat RBI 4-0 in the title game of the Castle Rock Senior Babe Ruth tourney yesterday. JH Kelly downed Hoquiam 7-1 in a consolation game…..The Kelso-Longview Chamber of Commerce Golf tourney is today at the Longview Country Club.

Derek Jeter had three hits and two RBI’s to lead the Yankees to a 6-3 win over the Mariners last night. The Yanks sweep the M’s. Texas comes to Safeco Field tonight with Felix Hernandez pitching for Seattle, KLOG 6:00 pm…..Victoria shutout Cowlitz 3-0 in West Coast League action last night. The Black Bears move on Kelowna tonight…..The games at the Castle Rock Senior Babe Ruth Father’s Day tournament were rained out yesterday, but will be played today at 4 pm. The tourney at Castle Rock HS continues through Sunday…..The Seahawks signed free agent defensive back Kevin Williams, the longtime Minnesota Viking. The Hawks closed out the OTA’s yesterday and get ready for mini-camp on Tuesday. There are reports that Marshawn Lynch may be thinking about a hold out.

The action runs through Sunday. Last night, Castle Rock Prep beat Rightline Equipment 4-0…..The Timbers scored two late goals to gain a 2-2 tie with FC Dallas last night in Portland.

In Senior Babe Ruth yesterday, RBI of Castle Rock beat J.H. Kelly 11-1. Today, Rightline Equipment takes on Castle Rock Prep, 5:30 pm at the RAL Lumberyard…..The NCAA track & field championships begin today at Hayward Field in Eugene.

The M’s have won eight of their last nine games while the Yanks have dropped six of eight…..The Cowlitz Black Bears have the first road game of the season tonight as they take on the Habourcats in Victoria BC. It’s the start of a six game road trip in Canada…..RBI of Castle Rock takes on JH Kelly in a Senior Babe Ruth game today, 5:30 pm at the Mark Morris Field…..OTA’s continue for the Seattle Seahawks this week. Marshawn Lynch has opted not to attend, opening up opportunities for backs Robert Turbin, Christine Michael and Derrick Coleman.

The Black Bears won two of the three and they now head to Canada for six games through the weekend…..Pacific Tech won three of four games during a weekend road trip to Orting and Port Angeles. Pac Tech hosts Plateau in a 5 pm DH on Wednesday at Rister Stadium…..North Kitsap beat Castle Rock Prep 6-4 at the Grand Slam Festival in Oregon City on Sunday…..The Longview World Series Committee has a meeting today at 5:30 pm upstairs at the LCC Student Center.
