Wilson defeated the Kelso boys 71-46 in 3A Bi-District action last night. The Scots face Shelton in a loser out game Saturday at 6:30 pm (KLOG). Kalama and Castle Rock both won 1A boys playoff games last night. The Mark Morris boys open 2A District play at home Saturday at 7 pm against Aberdeen (FM 101.5 The Wave)…..In girls 3A Bi-District action tonight, the Kelso Lassies take on Capital at 7:45 pm at Washington HS in Tacoma (KLOG). The MM girls open 2A District play tonight at home against Tumwater (FM 101.5 The Wave). In girls 1A District tonight, Hoquiam is at Kalama and Castle Rock at Montesano, both at 7 pm…..Kelso host the 3A Regional wrestling tournament starting this afternoon and through Saturday.

The Blazers head into the All Star break with a 102-86 win over the Los Angeles Lakers……Central Kitsap rallied in the 4th quarter to beat the Kelso Lassies 57-54 in 3A Bi-District action. Kelso will try and stay alive with a win against Capital Friday 7:45 pm at Washington HS in Tacoma…..The Kelso boys open Bi-District action tonight at Wilson HS in Tacoma, KLOG 6:55 pm. In 1A boys District tonight, Kalama is at Eatonville and Castle Rock visits Hoquiam, both at 7 pm…..Green River defeated Lower Columbia 78-67 in a foul-filled men’s game last night. The LCC women destroyed Green River 84-35 to go 12-0 in league. Both LCC teams have Saturday off before hosting Pierce next Wednesday…..The Mariners have signed former Brewer Rickie Weeks to compete for an OF spot.

Mark Morris finished strong, holding off upset-minded R.A. Long 57-49 in the boys Civil War matchup last night. The Jacks season comes to a close while the Monarchs will host either Aberdeen or W.F. West Saturday night in the District tournament…..The Kelso Lassies open up 3A Bi-District action tonight at Central Kitsap in Silverdale. The game begins at 7 pm and is aired on FM 101.5 The Wave…..The Portland Trail Blazers host the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm…..The Lower Columbia Red Devils are at home tonight against Green River, women at 6 pm and the men at 8 pm. The games are at newly remodeled Myklebust Gym on the LCC campus…..The truck carrying all of the Mariners equipment is on its way to Peoria, AZ. Pitchers and catchers report in 10 days.

Mark Morris set the girls school single-game scoring record in an 88-59 win over R.A. Long last night. Kourtney Eaton led the way with 27 points. Sarah Luedke led all scorers with 37 points for the Jills. Both Toutle Lake and Wahkiakum opened 2B girls District action with wins last night…..The boys Civil War is tonight as R.A. Long hosts Mark Morris at 7 pm, 101.5 FM The Wave at 6:45 pm. The boys 2B District opens tonight with Toutle Lake at Life Christian and Rainier, WA at Toledo. The boys 1B opens tonight with Naselle at Three Rivers…..Oregon has given head football coach Mark Helfrich a five-year, $17.5 million extension. Also, Eastern Washington QB Vernon Adams announced he will be transferring to Oregon. The Ducks open the 2015 season against Eastern.

The Blazers beat the Rockets in Houston last night 109-98. LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 and Damian Lillard 23…..The Ducks beat the Cougars 95-72 in Pac-12 men’s hoops on Sunday……LCC came up with a sweep at Clark Saturday. Both Red Devils teams will host Green River Wednesday night…..The Kelso girls beat Columbia River 54-47 Saturday to take the #2 seed into Bi-District. The Lassies are at Central Kitsap Wednesday at 7 pm…..The Kelso wrestling team captured the 3A District championship on Saturday. The R.A. Long wrestlers were second in the 2A District…..The R.A. Long girls bowling team took second at the State 3A/2A tournament Saturday in Tacoma.

Columbia River used a strong start to go on and beat Kelso 48-35 for the GSHL 3A boys league title. The Scots now look towards Bi-District next week. Tonight, Mark Morris is at Washougal (FM101.5 The Wave 6:45 pm) and R.A. Long is at Woodland…..The Kelso Lassies host Columbia River tonight, KLOG 6:55 pm. Last night, MM beat Washougal 68-58 and Woodland downed RAL 48-31…..The Blazers beat Phoenix 108-87 as Nic Batum led the way with 20. The Blazers are at Dallas tomorrow, KLOG 4:35 pm…..Gonzaga held off Santa Clara 77-63 to stay unbeaten in the WCC. Oregon State beat WSU 55-50 in Pac-12 play…..The LCC hoop teams are at Clark tomorrow, women 3 pm and men 5 pm…..R.A. Long has begun action at the WIAA State Bowling Championships in Tacoma.

The Kelso boys host Columbia River tonight with the league title on the line, tip off at 7 pm…..The Prairie girls defeated the Kelso Lassies 62-25 last night. The big game tonight is Toutle Lake at Wahkiakum. Also tonight, Washougal is at Mark Morris and Woodland at R.A. Long…..A great LCC rally fell short as Highline defeated the LCC men 84-81 despite 31 points from Ryan Lee. The LCC women are now 10-0 in league after an 80-63 win at Highline last night…..The Ducks beat the Huskies 78-74 in men’s college hoops…..The Blazers host the Phoenix Suns tonight, KLOG 6:05 pm.

The Blazers snapped a three game losing streak with a 103-102 win over the Utah Jazz. Damien Lillard had 25 for Portland…..The LCC Red Devils have big road games at Highline tonight, women at 6 pm and the men at 8 pm…..The Kelso boys beat Prairie 56-47 last night to set up a league title showdown with Columbia River tomorrow night in Kelso. R.A. Long stayed alive for a District berth with a 55-49 win over Ridgefield…..The Kelso Lassies travel to Prairie for a big showdown tonight, KLOG 6:55 pm…..The Huskies, Cougars, Ducks and Beavers welcomed new players to the program on National Letter of Intent Signing Day today.

Long took care of Ridgefield 65-36, Woodland beat Hudson’s Bay 59-26 and Kalama is 9-0 in league after a 58-24 win over Stevenson…..The Kelso boys are in action tonight as they travel to Prairie. R.A. Long is at home as they take on Ridgefield…..The Gonzaga Bulldogs are #2 in the latest AP Top 25. Kentucky is a unanimous #1…..The Seahawks announced that there will be no parade or party following the team’s loss in the Super Bowl. The Patriots will delay the champions parade for a day to dig out of the snow…..The Seahawks are looking for a new defensive coordinator after Dan Quinn was introduced today as the new head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.

The Cavs beat Detroit last night for their seventh straight win…..The LCC basketball teams are at Grays Harbor tonight, women at 6 pm and the men at 8 pm…..In boys hoops last night Kelso defeated Centralia 76-64. Also, Mark Morris shutdown Hockinson 67-34 and Washougal defeated R.A. Long 50-36…..The Kelso Lassies defeated Centralia 67-45…..The Kelso wrestling team hosts Prairie tonight at 6 pm…..In boys swimming, Kelso hosts MM and RAL in a 4 pm start at Gaither Pool.
