Nelson Cruz hit his 14th homer and Felix Hernandez got the win as the Mariners beat the Angels 3-2. The teams play again tonight, KLOG 6:00 pm…..Kelso won the GSHL 3A league title with a 7-5 win at Columbia River yesterday. The Scots host a Bi-District tourney on Saturday. Also yesterday, MM beat Woodland 15-10 and Hockinson over RAL 5-1…..The LCC softball DH today has been postponed until later this week…..In prep softball, Kelso beat Black Hills 12-0, RAL downed Ridgefield 16-3 and Hockinson over MM 14-2. Today, Kelso visits RAL…..The RAL boys soccer team beat Woodland 3-1. The Jacks advance to the playoffs on Saturday…..In track today, MM visits RAL and Kelso hosts Evergreen…..The RAL girls tennis team wins the WIAA 2A Academic title.

Houston won its 10th straight game with a 7-6 victory over the Mariners on Sunday. The M’s play the Angels in Anaheim tonight, KLOG 6:00 pm…..Jake Bakamus hit a walk-off grand slam to lead LCC to a 7-3 win over Pierce Sunday. The Devils then beat the Raiders 10-5 to complete a weekend sweep and raise their record to 21-0 in league…..Kelso is at Columbia River in prep baseball today. The GSHL 3A league title is on the line. Also today, Hockinson is at R.A. Long and Mark Morris is at Woodland…..In softball today, Kelso hosts Black Hills, Ridgefield is at RAL and MM visits Hockinson…..The RAL boys soccer team is at Woodland tonight at 7 pm…..In MLS soccer last night, the Sounders defeated New York City FC 3-1.

Three Huskies were picked in the first round of the NFL Draft. Danny Shelton to the Browns, Marcus Peters to the Chiefs and Shaq Thompson to the Panthers…..The Astros beat the Mariners 3-2 in 10 innings. The teams play again today, KLOG 4:00 pm…..LCC hosts Pierce in a big DH Sunday at Story Field, KLOG 12:55 pm…..The Kelso baseball team hosts Centralia today at 4 pm. Also, RAL is at Woodland and Hockinson at MM…..The Kelso softball team took the league title with a 10-2 win over River. Today, RAL is at Woodland and Heritage at MM…..In boys soccer, Fort beat Kelso 3-1, Bay over RAL 2-1 and Ridgefield beat MM 2-0. MM and RAL meet in a Civil War clash Saturday at 6 pm.

The Portland Trail Blazers season ended last night with a 99-93 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Blazers now have to deal with impending free agency of LaMarcus Aldridge, Wes Matthews and Robin Lopez…..The Mariners beat the Rangers 5-2 to complete a series sweep. Seattle is at red-hot Houston today, KLOG 4:00 pm…..Madison Cathcart had three homers and seven RBI’s in R.A. Long’s 11-0 softball win over Mark Morris. Kelso won its 10th straight, an 8-4 win over Skyview. The Lassies host River today at 4 pm…..The LCC softball team swept two from Clark 11-1 and 7-5. Krystina Fischer won both games…..The Kelso baseball team beat Prairie 3-2. Hudson’s Bay downed MM 10-5……The RAL girls tennis team defeated MM 4-2 yesterday.

Happ pitched the M’s to a 2-1 victory last night…..The Trail Blazers looking to extend the playoff series with the Grizzlies tonight in Memphis, 5:35 pm on FM 101.5 The Wave…..The Kelso boys and girls track teams both beat Columbia River to capture the GSHL 3A league titles yesterday…..The Kelso baseball team won its 6th straight game with a 6-5 win over Prairie. The Scots host Prairie again today. Mark Morris is at Hudson’s Bay today…..In softball, Kelso smashed Prairie 20-4. The Lassies are at Skyview today. R.A. Long beat Hockinson 6-4 and Rainier edged Mark Morris 4-3. Also today, MM hosts RAL…..The LCC softball team plays two at Clark today at 3 pm.

Game five is tomorrow night in Memphis…..Taijuan Walker went seven solid innings in the Mariners 3-1 win over Texas. They teams play again today, KLOG 4:00 pm…..R.A. Long collected its first hit in the 7th inning and rallied for a 2-1 victory over Mark Morris in prep baseball yesterday. Today, Kelso is at Prairie at 4 pm…..The Kelso softball team blasted Fort 12-0 and 18-0 yesterday. Also, Madison Cathcart’s no-hitter gave RAL a 1-0 win over Washougal and MM outscored Bay 20-13. Today, Kelso is at Prairie, RAL at Hockinson and MM at Rainier…..The Kelso track teams are at Columbia River today. Yesterday MM defeated Washougal in both boys and girls action.

The M’s begin a road trip today at Texas, KLOG 4:00 pm…..The Trail Blazers try to avoid being swept by Memphis tonight in game four of the NBA Playoffs, 6:35 pm on FM 101.5 The Wave…..The LCC baseball team is now 17-0 in league play after taking four games from Centralia. The scores yesterday were 10-5 and 9-1. LCC takes on Pierce this weekend…..R.A. Long hosts Mark Morris in Civil War baseball today at 4 pm…..The Kelso softball team is at home against Fort today at 4 pm. Also, Washougal is at RAL and MM is at Hudson’s Bay…..Clint Dempsey’s goal gave the Sounders a 1-0 win over the Portland Timbers in MLS action in Seattle last night.

Tomorrow the Twins will send Kelso’s Trevor May to the mound against Seattle…..The LCC baseball team hopes to stay unbeaten in league when they host Centralia in a 1 pm DH at Story Field…..In prep baseball today, Kelso hosts Tumwater and R.A. Long is at Hudson’s Bay…..The LCC softball team hosts a DH against SW Oregon tomorrow, 12 pm at Tam O’Shanter…..In prep softball today, Fort Vancouver is at Kelso, Hockinson at RAL and MM at Ridgefield…..The Kelso track teams are at the Elden Kellar Invite in Hillsboro today…..In boys soccer, Kelso is at Centralia at 7 pm tonight. Last night, Bay edged MM 1-0 and Ridgefield defeated RAL 4-2.

The Trail Blazers are coming home down 0-2 to Memphis in the NBA Playoffs. The Grizzlies won last night 97-82. Game three is at the Moda Center Saturday night…..J.A. Happ pitched the Mariners to a 3-2 win over Houston last night. The M’s are off today before the Twins come to town for three games…..Kelso defeated Rainier 12-2 in prep baseball yesterday. Also, R.A. Long pounded Washougal 10-1 and Mark Morris came up with a 6-2 win over Ridgefield…..Kelso shutout Tumwater 5-0 in softball behind the one-hit pitching of Kady Bruce. RAL blasted Hudson’s Bay 23-1 and Washougal outscored MM 13-10…..Mark Morris hosts R.A. Long in Civil War tennis today. Yesterday River beat Kelso 4-2…..In boys soccer tonight at 7 pm, RAL is at Ridgefield and MM at Hudson’s Bay.

The Houston Astros scored five runs in the 8th inning to rally for a 6-3 win over the Mariners. The M’s will try and avoid a sweep tonight, KLOG 6:00 pm…..The Trail Blazers are looking to salvage a split of the first two games in Memphis tonight with a win in game two, FM 101.5 The Wave at 4:05 pm…..Steve Rooklidge has stepped down as the head girls basketball coach at Mark Morris. It was an incredible four year run at MM for Rooklidge including three straight 2A championship games and two titles…..The LCC softball team split a DH with Clackamas, winning 5-4 and losing 11-4…..The Kelso softball team beat Heritage 5-2 while R.A. Long beat Skyview 10-1…..Kelso pounded Fort 11-1 in baseball. Today, Kelso is at Rainier, Washougal at RAL and MM hosts Ridgefield.
