The R.A. Long boys soccer team is fired up and ready to host a 2A State playoff game tonight. The Jacks take on Anacortes in a 6 pm game at Longview Memorial Stadium. Toledo/Winlock United takes on University Prep in a 1A playoff at Centralia tonight at 7 pm…..The Mariners are in Baltimore for a game with the Orioles today, KLOG 3:00 pm…..The Blazers have signed head coach Terry Stotts to a three year contract extension through 2020. Former Blazer and Sonic head coach Nate McMillian is the new head coach of the Indiana Pacers…..The girls 2A District golf tournament is underway at Mint Valley. The tourney runs today and tomorrow…..The LCC softball team is still waiting for the draw of the NWAC Championship tournament three days before the start Friday in Portland.

The Mariners head out on the road after being swept by the Angels over the weekend. L.A. won 3-0 yesterday. The M’s and Orioles play tomorrow in Baltimore…..The LCC baseball team clinched the school’s 38th division crown with a Sunday sweep at Grays Harbor 15-2 and 3-2. The Devils get the automatic berth into the NWAC Championships May 26-30 at Story Field…..The Kelso baseball team took second at the 3A Bi-District with an 8-4 loss to Central Kitsap Saturday night. The Scotties advance to State and will play Arlington Saturday morning at 10 am at Mt. Vernon…..The R.A. Long boys soccer team is ready to open State action at home tomorrow night against Anacortes…..New York City FC beat the Portland Timbers 2-1 yesterday.

The Mariners return to action at home tonight against the L.A. Angels, KLOG 6:00 pm…..The LCC baseball team has moved up it’s home DH against Grays Harbor to today at 3:00 pm….The LCC softball team also is at home against Chemeketa today at 3:00 pm…..Ridgefield edged R.A. Long 1-0 in the 2A District soccer championship last night. The Jacks host a State playoff game Tuesday night. Woodland eliminated Mark Morris 1-0 in the other game…..Kelso plays Enumclaw tomorrow at the 3A Bi-District baseball tournament, KLOG 12:55 pm. In the 2A, RAL hopes to stay alive with a win over Hockinson tomorrow, 1:30 pm at Centralia…..The girls 3A and 2A tennis tourneys are going on today and tomorrow…..In prep softball, Kelso beat River 4-1. Today, RAL is at MM at 7th Avenue.

The Trail Blazers surprising season came to an end last night with a 125-121 playoff loss to Golden State. The Warriors move on to the next round…..Chris Ianetta hit a walk-off homer in the 11th inning to give the Mariners a 6-5 win over Tampa Bay. The M’s get the sweep and take today off…..In the 2A baseball playoffs, R.A. Long stayed alive with an 8-4 win over Ridgefield. Mark Morris lost to Black Hills 13-3 to see their season end…..The LCC baseball team is moving their home DH up a day to Friday at 3 pm…..The boys 2A soccer playoffs resume tonight as RAL plays at Ridgefield for the District crown and MM hosts Woodland in a loser out game at Longview Memorial. Both start at 7 pm…..In softball, MM pounded Bay 22-0. Today, Kelso hosts Columbia River at 4 pm.

The Blazers will try and extend the season with a must-win game at Golden State tonight, FM 101.5 The Wave 6:35 pm. The Warriors lead the series 3-1…..Dae Ho-Lee and Franklin Gutierrez hit homers to lead the Mariners over Tampa Bay 6-4. The M’s go for the sweep in a day game today, KLOG 11:30 am…..At the 2A District baseball tourney, Centralia downed R.A. Long 5-3 and W.F. West beat Mark Morris 12-4. Both teams hope to stay alive today at Chehalis. RAL against Ridgefield at 6 pm and MM against Black Hills at 4 pm, FM 101.5 The Wave 3:45 pm…..RAL defeated Tumwater 2-1 in 2A District soccer last night. Ridgefield beat Mark Morris 3-0. The Jacks play at Ridgefield tomorrow night in the District title game while MM hosts Woodland in a loser out game tomorrow.

Steph Curry scored 40 points including 17 in OT to lead Golden State to a 132-125 playoff win over Portland. The Warriors are up 3-1 heading back to Oakland tomorrow night…..Ketel Marte had four hits including a three run homer as the Mariners beat Tampa Bat 5-2. Felix Hernandez got the win. The teams play again tonight, KLOG 6:00 pm…..The 2A baseball playoffs begin today. R.A. Long is at Centralia and Mark Morris visits W.F. West (FM 101.5 The Wave), both at 4:30 pm…..The 2A boys soccer playoffs resume tonight. RAL is at Tumwater and MM is at Ridgefield, both at 7 pm…..LCC baseball hosts Everett in a 5 pm non-division DH at Story Field today…..The LCC softball team is at Mt. Hood for a 3 pm DH…..In pep softball, RAL over Hockinson 3-1 to clinch the league title.

The Scots take on Enumclaw Saturday at 1 pm at Auburn-Riverside HS…..LCC baseball got a split with Tacoma over the weekend maintaining a two games lead over Titans. The Devils host Everett in a non-league DH tomorrow…..The LCC softball team sweeps Clark Saturday. The Devils are at Mt. Hood for a 3 pm twin bill tomorrow.

The Devils have a two game lead over the Titans heading into today’s games…..The Kelso baseball team begins 3A Bi-District action tomorrow morning against Wilson at Auburn High School, KLOG 9:55 am…..The Mark Morris boys soccer team opens District play tonight at Centralia (7pm). R.A. Long is at home for a 12 pm game with Black Hills tomorrow…..R.A. Long visits Mark Morris in Civil War girls tennis today (4 pm)…..Steph Curry is unlikely to play when the Blazers host the Warriors tomorrow night in Game 3.

The Mariners completed a three game sweep of Oakland with a 9-8 victory yesterday. Dae-Ho Lee hit two homers to lead the way. The M’s begin a four game set at Houston today, KLOG 4:00 pm…..Southwestern Oregon swept the LCC softball team 14-5 and 6-5 yesterday. The Devils hope to bounce back at Clark on Saturday…..The Kelso softball team beat Centralia 9-1 yesterday. Woodland shutout Mark Morris 11-0…..The Kelso baseball team rallied from down 8-0 to beat Black Hills 9-8 yesterday. The Scots begin the playoffs Saturday at 10 am against Wilson at Auburn HS…..The Civil War golf match was a 212 tie. Medalist honors were also a tie as Brooke Deering (MM) and Sierra Norris (RAL) each shot a 48…..The Kelso boys soccer team is at Columbia River today at 5 pm.

The Warriors lead the Blazers 2-0 in the NBA Playoff series with game three Saturday night in Portland…..The Mariners have won six straight series after an 8-2 win at Oakland last night. The M’s pitch Felix Hernandez today looking for the sweep, KLOG 11:30 am…..In prep baseball, Ridgefield won the league crown with a 7-3 win over R.A. Long. Washougal edged Mark Morris 5-4. Today, MM is at Hockinson and Black Hills at Kelso…..The LCC softball team hosts SW Oregon today at 3 pm…..In prep softball today, Kelso hosts Centralia and MM is at Woodland…..Kelso raced past Evergreen in both boys and girls track yesterday…..In boys soccer, RAL beat Woodland 1-0 and Prairie beat Kelso 2-1.
